Check it out, folks! Tongiht, everyone's favorite local radio DJs will be appearing on the Gallery 5 stage as the latest local celebrities to be profiled as part of Richmond Comedy Coalition's long-running comedic interview series, Richmond Famous.

Starting next week, Richmond will be taken over by the fifth annual RVA Fashion Week, seven days packed full of events in which local designers come together to showcase their wares and let the city and the international fashion community know exactly what's happening in the world of RVA Fashion.

Looking for something to do with that special someone this Saturday? We have just the thing for you! The first of a ten-part series brought to you by The Photosynthesizers, entitled, Listen Vol. 1: The Light In Sound, will be taking place at The Camel.

The editors of GayRVA.com and RVAMag are looking for interns. We have five positions to fill and we would love to have you on our staff.

Anthony Bourdain took the Landmark Theater by storm last night. The crowd was caught between laughs and gasps as the legendary TV-chef told stories and gave advice for living for just over two hours.

There is a ton of awesome stuff happening this weekend in the lovely RVA, from instagram parties and punk shows to, well, other awesome shows! There's not too much going on on Saturday, but there's a lot of awesome stuff happening on Sunday, so come on out, support your local music scene, and see some awesome art and music. Awesome!

Nails – Abandon All Life (Southern Lord Records)
Confession time: I've been aware of Nails for a few years now but never listened to them, solely because they feature an ex-member of Terror and happened to come out around the same time that a lot of people from tough guy youth crew hardcore bands were latching onto faster, more aggressive strands of music, typically with pretty uninspired results (the sort of thing detailed by the occasionally great Weekend Nachos in their song “Jock Powerviolence”).

FEATURE SHOW
Sunday, April 28, 7:30 p.m.
Chris Corsano, Jason Lescalleet, Corsano-Lescalleet Duo @ Forinstance Gallery (107 E. Cary St.) - $7/All Ages
Although this isn’t officially part of the RVA Noise Fest, having Chris Corsano and Jason Lescalleet in Monroe Ward at Forinstance Gallery on day three of the RVA Noise Fest is a perfect combination.

Attention all fans of headbanging mayhem: Papa Emeritus II and the Nameless Ghouls, collectively known as Ghost BC, will be coming to 9:30 Club next month, on Monday, May 13--and you could go see them for free, courtesy of your friends at RVA Magazine!

The highly-anticipated third event in Deanna Danger Productions' ongoing Byrlesque at The Byrd series, “Byrds of Paradise,” will be flying across stage of The Byrd Theatre in Carytown this Sunday, April 28th. This production promises to be the most extravagant and talent-filled to date, and will be an all bird-themed classic burlesque and vaudeville showcase.
