Punkabilly pioneers Social Distortion have been around for over 30 years now, with frontman Mike Ness surviving struggles with drug addiction, a revolving door lineup, and the death of longtime bandmate Dennis Danell to keep the band going strong. The struggle obviously paid off, as Social D are still raging today, even though Ness is the only remaining original member. They released their seventh studio album, Hard Times And Nursery Rhymes, earlier this year, and their tour in support of that album hit the stage at the National on Wednesday, May 18. Photographer Ken Penn was there to document the scene; here are some of the great pics he brought back.
