NEXT WEEK: Two Comedy Shows By Ben Kronberg!

On Thursday June 16th and Friday June 17th New York City-based comedian Ben Kronberg visits Richmond for two nights on two very different stages. Ben was last in Richmond last summer when he appeared for two nights with Sara Schaefer at Gallery 5 as part of her hometown return shows. Kronberg, named by Comedy Central at the 2010 New York Comedy Festival as one of the Comics To Watch, will visit The Midnight Suggestion at Steady Sounds on Thursday June 17th at 7pm sharp. The Midnight Suggestion is a monthly show hosted in the 6-foot loft above Steady Sounds Record Store on Broad St. It is curated by Johnny Hugel with Marty Key of Steady Sounds and hosted by Grandt Mutge. Each event offers a unique and slightly bizarre comedy show, which is highlighted by the short ceilings. The goal is to showcase Richmond comedians along with other performing artists and special guests in a way that is unique from the other comedy shows in Richmond.

On Friday June 17th Ben will visit Cafe Diem, home of the largest open Mic Night in the city, curated by comedian Joe Hafkey. Joe will handle hosting duties in the show, which will also feature James Paulk and Bill Metzger. Local bands No Hands and Colleen Applegate will be performing following the comedy sets. This show will be free and starts at 9pm.
