I try to do something that could potentially make people think a little bit more, at least about themselves or their perception on the world or their surroundings or what they’re doing. Hopefully people will open up a little more.

Whether found on the street or a gallery, Dave Kinsey’s pieces serve as “communication as art.” Inspired by city life, his illustrated urban dwellers encourage viewers to rethink their surroundings and their own interactions with the urban environment. As the founder of BLK/MRKT Gallery, he remains heavily involved with, and influential, in the contemporary art scene.
