Please help me find a home for this beautiful, sweet, loving puppy.

I don't know his name, but we've started calling him Riley. Riley was standing in the middle of Buford Road near Midlothian Tpk at 1 am Friday night. I stopped to make sure he did not get hit and he immediately climbed in my car. My guess is someone dumped him. He was found without a collar or tags. He is very sweet, potty trained, neutered, loves riding in a car, is approximately 8 months old and just wants to be loved. He seems well-socialized with both people and other dogs, but is quick to chase a squirrel and probably a cat. I would love to keep him, but I already have a Beagle and a Boxer neither of whom are fond of other animals. Right now he is sleeping in my garage and getting more and more restless by the minute. It is not fair to leave him there for too long.

I checked with Chesterfield Animal Control and no one has reported him missing thus far. I also called a few vet clinics in the area and put a post on Craig's List to no avail. None of the rescues in Richmond have any openings. I cannot turn him over to Animal Control because they will euthanize him. They have too many dogs and especially too many Pitts right now. Everyone seems to be abandoning their responsibilities in this economy.
