Gallery 5's Carnival of 5 Fires (C5F) was not only a great night of Halloween fun, but it also provided an opportunity to create a pilot for a new series being developed by RVA TV.

"Plan B" will feature host, Blake Midgette and his self-deprecating style of humor. The purpose of the show will be to introduce our audience (and the world outside of Richmond) to some of the various bars and watering holes throughout the city. Gallery 5 isn't a bar, but the insane atmosphere that is the Carnival of 5 Fires provided a test for Blake and our camera crews. I think they did alright, though it sounds like Blake desperately needs to get laid (or lay off the sexual overtones). Let us know what you think.

In this pilot episode, Blake interviews a Cannabis Corpse-inspired Bud Babe (and her cultivator), an awesome firespinner named Sticky, a Raver Jesus who shows what might happen in 2012, an awkward Juggalo/Juggaho couple, artist and tattoo specialist Mike Moses (of Salvation Tattoo), and No BS Brass Band. The burlesque dancers you see at the end will be the central focus of our Totally Insane Tuesday for tomorrow.

The first official episode of Plan B will launch Friday, Dec 4th. Enjoy the pilot, and can someone please tell me who that guy at the end is? We love the promotion, but we can't figure out who he is.

Music by: No BS Brass Band (performing a selection works, including "Imperial March" by John Williams, "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Mozart, and "Thiller" by Michael Jackson)

I dig the premise of this show and i like the loose/funny interview style but yes, as mentioned in the article Blake could do with a few less vagina jokes and also make sure the people he's interviewing speak into the mike. As someone trying to watch this video at work and not get caught, the interviewer was sometimes too loud and the interviewees couldn't be heard at all. Just one duder's opinion. Looking forward to the next one!
