Jul 14, 2012
WHEN: 6-10PM (Documentary @ 8PM)
WHERE: GCCR (1407 Sherwood Avenue, RVA, 23220)

In conjunction with the Gay Community Center of Richmond's Family & Friends Game Night on July 14th, Girls Rock! RVA is excited to hold a donation drop-off and a FREE screening of our 2011 GR!RVA summer camp documentary.
Volunteers will be on hand from 6-10PM to answer questions about the organization & accept donated and loaned instruments / gear for our 2012 summer camp. The screening will begin at 8PM.
During the week of our free summer music program, campers receive instruction on an instrument of their choice (bass, guitar, keys, vocals or drums), form a band, write a song together & perform their new song in front of family, friends & the Richmond community!
None of this can happen if there are no keyboards for the campers to use, no hardware for the drum sets, amps to plug guitars into, microphones for our vocalists, or instrument cables for the bassists.
Last year, we were able to provide enough instruments & gear to keep 22 campers rockin'! This year we have 50 participating campers--you can make camp possible by donating your used instruments & gear! If you're not ready to give up your gear, we can arrange for you to loan us your instruments & equipment for the week!
