Tuckahoe Veterinary Hospital, located in the west end of Richmond, VA, will be holding a Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR course taught by one of their veterinary technicians, Oriana Scislowicz.
Some important lifesaving information that will be covered:
-Recognizing an emergency
-Approaching an injured dog or cat
-CPR and rescue breathing
-Learning what’s normal for your pet
-Treating abrasions, burns, bruises and puncture or bite wounds
-Responding to allergic reactions, poisoning and vomiting
-Identifying and treating tapeworms, ticks, and other pests
-Maintaining your pet’s health and providing daily care
-Traveling with your pet
The course costs $50 and participants will receive a copy of both Dog and Cat First Aid books! Once you have taken the class as a participant, you will become certified in Pet First Aid/CPR through the Red Cross for life-.
