The Richmond Comedy Coalition Presents: INTERNEAT-O! A night of live local improv and sketch comedy awesomeness.

THE RCC ENSEMBLE goes viral to bring you their unique brand of improv comedy. Typically, your suggestions fuel the performers’ scenes and characters, much like the style made popular by Chicago’s iO and New York’s UCB Theater. This month, the suggestions come in the form of streaming internet videos handpicked by you, some unfortunate soul’s Facebook page, and even more. You won’t want to miss this show so hilarious you’d swear it was scripted (but you know it’s not.)

Featuring special guests DECENT SKETCH COMEDY. While other college kids are sleeping through class and drinking cheap beer, DSC is…well, doing the same thing. But they’re also hard at work creating the BEST sketch comedy a local public university can come up with…IN THE WORLD. With Ryan Asher, Jared Cullum, Brian Gartland, Susan Glynn, Joe Hafkey, and Eric Stallings.

mAcdonald's latest release Purgatory Hill--recorded with partner melaniejane--features an amplified Lowebow cigar-box guitar. The Shepherd Express hails the record as “...nothing less than a shocking reinvention of blues and rock music..."

pat mAcdonald and melaniejane team up to create dark, sexy, hypnotic low-end grooves. The two of them onstage have an arsenal of instruments - pat: guitar, cigarbox slide guitar, stompbox and harmonica; melaniejane: electric cello, keyboard, accordion and variety of hand percussion. These two carry the weight of a full band. Although comparisons as far reaching from The White Stripes, Morphine and Black Rebel
Motorcycle Club to the recent Robert Plant/Alison Krauss collaboration would not be out of line, mAcdonald’s song-writing sensibilities coupled with his stomp-board invention and modification of his instruments creates a sound which appeals to music-lovers of all genres yet has a unique stamp unto itself.

The James River Film Festival

The James River Film Festival is a celebration of independent film, video and animation. Each Spring the festival brings nationally and internationally-known independent filmmakers to Richmond to screen and discuss their work.

The festival includes retrospectives; film performances with live, original music; and a juried competition of short films. JRFF awards up to $2,000 in cash and prizes – another way RMIC supports and stimulates independent filmmaking.

Most films are $5 at the door, some events and screenings are FREE!

Physicians for Peace's Walking Free program provides Haiti's amputee victims with new limbs and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Learn how your valued support can help make this possible. Donations of prosthetic and mobility devices (prosthetic limbs, walkers, canes, braces, wheelchairs) will also be collected throughout the night to benefit earthquake victims in Haiti.

The President of Sklar Technology Partners, Randy Sklar, and several others, are going to run in the Shamrock Marathon on March 20th at Virginia Beach, Virginia. Their objective is to raise money for the ASK (Association for the Support of Kids with Cancer) foundation: a Richmond nonprofit organization that provides emotional, financial and social undergirding for children after they receive their cancer diagnosis
