Well it happened; I have a mix to share. This is my first mix of 2012 - hopefully first of many. Check it out.

For all the information you need email john@rvamag.com.
If you are a Dj - get in touch, lets out your mix on RVA!

-------------------------

BOUNCE 41 REINHOLD "Bass Driven"

*TO DOWNLOAD mix save on this link: "BASS DRIVEN" (IN HQ)

I'm very excited to be getting out a new mix, finally! It's been a busy year, and I have been playing gigs and helping to produce and push events. So it's good to finally lay down a mix and get the creative juices flowing. This past year has also seen me really getting into bass-driven beats from multiple genres. I'm finding amazing new producers in electronica, techno, dubstep, and especially tech house, with a bass-driven feel. These producers are cutting edge and pushing the ideas of what certain genres are primarily known for. This session was recorded live on Gltich.fm, and features many tracks and producers that I have been playing out. The mix moves from chill moments to heavier more booty-bass filled, almost broken beat or breakbeat moments. Overall I really like it. It's a journey of sorts, and I hope you enjoy it! I recommend you play it on a good system or good headphones. There are lots of layers you can enjoy on a good system. Thanks for listening and please do share it out......

RVA RADIO : K-DINOS, "We ♥ Dinosaurs Mixtape Vol. 1"

RVA RADIO is down with bringing you new music whenever we find it. If you are interested in being profiled on here, hit us up at hello@rvamag.com with a mix!

--------------------------------------------

“No-one really knows who or what ‘K-Dinos’ is. I don’t even really know myself.”—KTC

Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you a dinosaur. A vicious dinosaur. A blasting barmy, bass-fueled disco dinosaur with the sharpest saw teeth you ever did see. A dinosaur so large that even its creator, Konstantine the Cretan, cant get his head around its size. Rippin’ the most ill-est electronic shocking feelin' down your back bone and making these raw sounds surge through your veins without a limit. It is the thing you seek behind the foot-slapping, two-step visage moniker. Now it has knocked away the caged fence in your neighbor’s yard and anywhere it goes will most definitely experience its outstanding energy and exciting atmosphere. It comes with an excellent interest in wanting to find dirty, freaky, groovy and funky things to eat. It always keeps its 3D night vision on the different vibration of creatures with one foot in the booth, and one giant foot on the dancefloor. The hour has come, hear its trembling roar from a distance. Ladies and gentlemen we bring you… K-DINOS

flavors.me/kdinos

Just Plain Ant:

The founder of local hip-hop crew Just Plain Sounds has been producing music since he was a teenager. He incorporates a variety of influences into his shifting sound, which merges hip-hop and soul with jazz, electronic music, and more experimental styles to bring a unique feel to his own work, as well as that of quite a few other Richmond artists. His latest release is a single called "The Bridge," which also features the talents of local MC The Honorable Sleaze, and is the first track from his upcoming full-length, [albumtitle] (no, that's not an editing mistake, that really is the name of the record).

BOUNCE 039 Mr. Jennings "The Intergalactic Speakeasy"

Conway had his new mix out - and its quite popular!! This is the "Speakeasy" mix - based on our nights at Balliceaux In Richmond playing new style swing music and classy tunes all crunked up. We also get all dressed up classy, go to the photo booth and drink plenty of Martini's - check the pics links attached!

For all the information you need email john@rvamag.com.
If you are a Dj - get in touch, lets do this..

http://plf.podomatic.com/
-------------------------

BOUNCE 039 Mr. Jennings "The Intergalactic Speakeasy"

To download go to this link, find download at bottom:
http://plf.podomatic.com/entry/2011-07-06T21_08_23-07_00

Electro swing? Glitch hop? SWING CRUNK?! That's right folks, this new mix is all that and more, with a fedora on top. It's definitely a major milestone for me, being my first mix recorded with Ableton Live instead of turntables. Inspired by the crazy mixing capabilities of Ableton and the quirky swing vibe of our Speakeasy parties at Balliceaux, I decided that swing crunk needed to become a reality. Half glitch hop, half live swing crunk mashups. I hope you enjoy :)

-
Thanks,
