Clipse "Life Change"

Posted by: Jonathan – Dec 06, 2010

A few months ago Shahan Jafri and Alex Germanotta started talking with the Clipse to do a music video for a song called Life Change. The song was produced by the neptunes and features VA natives Pharrell and Kenna. The song opens up in RVA with a young man (Mark Washington) running away from a police officer (Jermaine Alley). "We shot the opening in the alley ways by gallery 5" says Shahan who directed the music video. "It was my favorite song off the Clipse album 'Till the casket drops' and when I realized there was no video for it I jumped on the chance to make one. I got in touch with, in my eyes, one of the best cinematographers/editors that I know (Alex Germanotta) and told him the idea. Alex and I had already worked with the Clipse when we did a special on the clothing brand 'Play Cloths'. So after we talked about the idea and concept with the guys they gave us the green light and we went ahead and made it. I got the help of my brother Imran to help produce it and soon after it was finished." The video premiered on MTV JAMS and MTV2 last friday and is currently on rotation so if you missed it, def check it out.
