Northside restaurant The Mill on MacArthur has been a popular place here since it opened its doors in 2011. The home style restaurant that prides itself on locally-sourced farm produce is now opening another restaurant in Church Hill and they’re looking to the community for help with naming the joint.

Owners Amy Foxworthy, Chip Zimmerman and Josh Carlton plan to open a similar restaurant on the ground floor of the newly renovated historic East End Theater, at 418 N. 25th St. They’ve set up this website where those interested can fill out a form with their ideas.

Via the website:

“With a focus on the community, it’s history, and culture we thought it only best to let our neighbors participate in the naming of this establishment.”

The deadline for entries is Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 the owners will post their three favorite restaurant names. Theowners will announce the name of the rew restaurant sometime in October.

And of course, there’s a prize!

The winner will receive a $100 gift card to the new restaurant, a menu item named after them,
and a special invite for them along with three of their lucky friends to the soft opening event prior to our public grand opening, which is slated for sometime in January 2016.
