After a cold, crappy, and thoroughly depressing winter, spring has finally arrived, and RVA Magazine is ready to catch spring fever with our first issue of the new year! RVA #24 leads off with an exclusive guide to the music festivals happening here in Richmond and all over Virginia throughout the year. From MACRoCk to GWAR-B-Q to the Richmond Folk Festival, there are a ton of live music extravaganzas taking place within 100 miles or so of our fair city this year, and we’re bringing you the lowdown on all of it!
That’s not to mention the coverage of everything happening in the always-popping-off local music and art scenes, which you have come to rely on RVA Mag to bring to you! We haven’t let you down yet, and we don’t intend to start now! This issue will bring you coverage of psychedelic indie rockers Lady God, metallic hardcore ragers Ostraca, and The Cheats Movement Podcast’s hard work to take RVA hip hop to the next level.
We’ll also give you a closer look at the cheeky work of photographer Patrick Biedrycki.
