Havana ’59 West End Location Opens Friday

A Shockoe Bottom restaurant/nightclub that’s been slinging mojitos, serving up Cuban food, and entertaining crowds under the glow of string lights with Salsa dancing every Thursday evening since 1995 is finally expanding with a new location.

Havana ’59, located at 16 N. 17th Street, will open its second location in the West End on West Broad Street this Friday and it’s bringing with it the alluring aroma of cigars, the original dinner menu (hello famous Cuban nachos), brunch, and will be open for lunch featuring a new menu.

To help kick off the celebration, the restaurant is enticing patrons with a few specials including $5 Cuban Nachos,$5 Original Mojitos, and 15 percent off lunch. Havana ’59 will also add to the menu of its original dishes like paella, and the Cubano, with new dishes like lamb albondingas and house-smoked beef short ribs, served up by Chef Bryan Rubey. All of December, lunch will be 15 percent off at the new spot.

The West End location, located at 8902 W Broad St., will have an upstairs cigar bar, outdoor patios on both floors, and of course, Salsa dancing on Wednesday nights, which will begin in the New Year so get your dancing shoes ready West Enders.

Havana ’59’s West End will open for dinner only starting at 5pm Fri., Dec. 8 and they will start serving lunch at 11am on Saturday.
