TONIGHT: Ceschi & Anonymous Inc. At The Nile

by | Jul 22, 2011 | MUSIC

The first time Ceschi came to Richmond he showed up to a backyard barbecue on Labor Day with just an acoustic guitar, his voice rich with bravado and something this city had never heard before. Switching seamlessly between folk tunes and fast, chopping raps, Ceschi always demonstrates enormous dexterity in his performances, never short on surprises.

Tonight at Nile Ethiopian Restaurant he returns to Richmond with his band Anonymous Inc., a group which includes his brother David on percussion and Max Heath on the keys and additional vocals. They’re playing alongside local duo Double Rainbow, which includes guitarist/vocalist Isaac Ramsey (a.k.a. local rapper Swordplay) and drummer Jamie Faulstich from the Catalyst. Opening will be Baltimore rapper Gage, with special appearances by MC Homeless and J E Double F. This show may have come together at the last minute, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be awesome, so come out and catch what promises to be an excellent evening.

WHAT: Surprise! Ceschi & Anonymous Inc. at The Nile!
WHO: Ceschi & Anonymous Inc. with Double Rainbow and Gage
WHERE: Nile Ethiopian Restaurant (309 N. Laurel St.)
WHEN: 10pm
ADMISSION: Free (donations for the out of town artists encouraged)

After the jump, check out two different Ceschi videos, one showcasing his folkier side and the other a more hip-hop style jam. Expect plenty of both over the course of tonight’s performance.
