Richmond’s own Avers are back with a new video for their rockin’ track, “Evil,” and the video is sure to resonate with anyone who’s ever partied in a basement.

The folks over at Nylon.com were not shy in their love for the track, pointing out the video, a pretty sick house show, matches the mood of the song “perfectly:”

Have you ever felt completely alone in a crowded room? Avers channels that withdrawn mentality in the video for “Evil.” Despite her orange hair and bright ensemble, the anonymous lead is merely a gloomy wallflower at a Skins-esque party. Under the twinkling lights, people (presumably on hallucinogens) with painted faces and creepy masks dance like madmen. It’s a rock circus that’ll keep you spinning, but you won’t want it to end.

Check out the video below:

“Evil” comes from Avers’ debut album, Empty Light, which can be ordered from Avers’ Bandcamp page.
