Richard Walker is a mental health professional and long-time community advocate who founded a non-profit dedicated to guaranteeing civil rights for the formerly incarcerated. From standing with Union Hill to defeat Dominion Energy’s compressor station that targeted the historic Black community, to helping get fair chance hiring policy passed in over 20 localities, Richard has an established record of influencing change. He is now running for the House of Delegates District 71 seat to bring his advocacy to the General Assembly and fight for the rights of all people to housing, education, healthy communities, and to be heard over corporate interests.
