A sold-out night at The Camel is one thing. Doing it back-to-back is another. Holy Roller (read our last interview HERE) has been quietly building toward this for a while now. A Richmond band rooted in good time rock with a bit of country twang, pulling from all over...
The close of the year. Maybe this week your old buddies from high school will be back in town, maybe your coolest cousin is visiting for the holidays, whatever it is, go make some memories together. To quote the Specials, “Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think.” Got a show coming up? New single? Simply want someone to talk music? I am your...
Once more, bridge the gap, dear Richmonders, or close up the gap with our Monroe Park rats… But when the blasts of indie rock blow in our ears, then imitate the beaver and fill the river stage. - Griffin Shakespeare Smalley. This three-day marathon, sprawling...

The weather is beautiful, shows are plentiful, life is good and I want to get out there. Got a show coming up? New single? Simply want someone to talk music? I am...
For those keeping tabs on the statewide music scene, this might not come as news, but it's worth noting: Over the summer, two artists from Woodbridge, Virginia—Shaboozey and Tommy Richman—made serious waves on the national stage, both landing spots on the Billboard "Hot 100" chart. It's relevant to Richmond, as both artists have ties to our city,...
I am a proud rocker, a punk at that, but with everyday I feel like I fall in love with another type of music. We are in such an amazing time of live shows, it seems like we get more and more world renowned acts in every flier I see, with bands and artists coming from the literal opposite ends of the globe coming to RVA. Times are changing and I...
