Ever watch someone hump and smack the air in public, and instead of freaking out you wonder to yourself: “Yeaaah ha! I can do that better and faster and more efficiently!”

Ever watch someone hump and smack the air in public, and instead of freaking out you wonder to yourself: “Yeaaah ha! I can do that better and faster and more efficiently!”

Well, start hyper-gyrating those hips because the 7th Annual Richmond Air Sex Championships returns to Strange Matter this Saturday.

Hosted by ANIMAL and the Richmond Comedy Coalition, the 2015 Richmond Air Sex Championships will be a night of risque and taboo fun with three parts including: A screening of Air Sex: The Movie, The Richmond Air Sex Championship itself, and an energized dance party afterwards featuring DJ CONLEY DIRT ϟTAϟH!

“Richmond is one of my favorite places for Air Sex Championships,” Comedian Chris Trew said. Trew, who has had his fair share of showing his moves to the public (America’s Got Talent) will be hosting the event.

“Strange Matter has been the place for Air Sex to have a raunchy good time with a group of people who just want to let loose and enjoy their freedom and sexuality.”

The evening will get warmed up with a screening of Air Sex: The Movie, a documentary/ comedy special showcasing past Air Sex events and rivalries, and explores the embracement of sexuality in today’s society.

After the documentary, the Richmond Air Sex Championships commence. RVA Mag has covered the sex-spectacular quite a few times in the past, but for those unfamiliar, self-proclaimed “Air Sexuals” will perform their practiced and mastered air sex crafts!

There will be guaranteed feedback from the judges who will be from the Fan Free Clinic. The FFC will be judging and tabling the event and some of the profits from the Richmond Air Sex Championships will be donated to the clinic to help aid those in need within the community.

To evoke points from the Fan Free Clinic judges, participants are able to hump, jiggle, slide, and twerk the air as sensually as they can. You must trigger a lusty desire!

It’s also never too late to sign up, so practice your lusty coordination because the Richmond Air Sex Championships is still looking for “Air Sexuals” to show off their chops for the event if you get what we’re saying…

Participants are allowed to dress in whatever they believe fits their “routine”, choose whichever song that allows the eye-tease pleasing to commence, and move in any way they desire.

There’s also another incentive to come out. If you unleash your air kink hard enough, Taboo of RVA has also offered up some toys as prizes for winning “Air Sexuals” at the event and who can’t use another sex toy?

After the event, ANIMAL, an eccentric collective of DJs, artists, and musicians will host a dance party for “Air Sexuals” and Non “Air Sexuals” of all types. DJ CONLEY DIRT ϟTAϟH will be capping off!

As the Richmond Air Sex Championship page states: “It’s in-your-face, in-your-front, in-your-back honesty for the whole world to see. It’s a serious competition to see who can fake-f*ck nobody better than anybody else. This is Air Sex.”

Come out, participate, and embrace your air sexuality Saturday October 17 at Strange Matter. Doors open at 7:30. Tickets are $7, grab yours here.

There’s a Murder Coming to Richmond, and You’re Stuck on the Train

Virginia Repertory Theatre is kicking off its new season the way any sensible theatre should: with a train, a murder, and a detective who’s just trying to make sense of it all. Murder on the Orient Express is Agatha Christie’s great reminder that people are both awful...
