As a city, Richmond kicks a lot of ass – as a brew-town, Richmond kicks a TON of ass and we’ve got another set of medals to hang on our wall to prove it.

As a city, Richmond kicks a lot of ass – as a brew-town, Richmond kicks a TON of ass and we’ve got another set of medals to hang on our wall to prove it.

Ratemybeer.com, one of the largest online resources for beer reviews and more, has crowned Strangeways Brewing and Mekong as the state’s best brewpub and restaurant (respectively) and lord knows we’re glad to see any locals make such a hallowed list.

“Many thanks to all those who work hard every day to provide us with the very best best beers, stored and served to the highest standards, in an enjoyable atmosphere,” reads the brief intro to the 2014 list released late last month.

Congrats to Strangeways and Mekong, you guys earned it.
