Improv comedy from Pack & more!

Come out every First Thursday of the month for a night of awesome improv comedy produced by Nick Leveski and Patrick Gantz, two veteran improvisers together known as Pack. Each month they’ll invite guest acts to join the show and the audience will have a chance to get in on the action as well! Be there or be told “you had to be there.”

Pack is Nick Leveski and Patrick Gantz, both refugees from the esteemed Chicago improv scene who moved to Richmond for their wives but have found true partners in one another.

An improv super sampler to dazzle the senses!

With a new act every half hour, the First Friday Improv Sampler will be sure to delight!

First Fridays in RVA is always a good time and now you can add a little comedy to your evening of walking around the Arts District. The Coalition’s First Friday Improv Sampler consists of five short improv acts allowing you to either come and go or sit and enjoy the whole night with us!

All shows are pay-what-you-can. Online tickets are limited, but there will be plenty at the door!

8PM – Lyndsay & Barry: Bad Vibes Only

8:30PM – Fan Friction (Watch in awe as this trio combines your most cherished shows, movies, and games into unholy amalgams never before seen by human eyes)

9PM – Wolf Night (One of our four improv house teams; see them Fridays in the House Special, and here!)

9:30PM – Silver Child (Another of our four improv house teams; see them Fridays in the House Special, and here!)

A Night of Stand-up Comedy with a Twist

Escape reality with Coalition’s new show “In Character.” This explosive stand-up show features a hilarious lineup of comedians unleashing their most outrageous alter egos. Get ready for a wild, unpredictable journey through the minds of the absurd as these unforgettable characters take the stage.

Calling all improvisers, students, and living human beings! Welcome to The Mixer – where anyone is welcome to sign-up to play improvised scenes with performers, both new and old! If you’re not interested in getting on stage, you can always relax in the audience with some snacks and drinks from our bar.

Admission is pay-what-you-wish or free if you sign up to play! Folks wanting to perform should arrive 10 min early to sign up.

Can’t Hardly Date is RVA’s premier improv comedy show based on your best, worst, or most memorable dates. Between audience stories and dating app profiles, this show will turn your dating faux pas into dating guffaws. One of the Coalition’s longest running shows, Jambalaya is the improv jam that requires YOUR suggestions and participation! You’re invited to get on stage with Coalition improvisers and play improvised games kinda like the stuff you’d see on Whose Line is it Anyway?

The rules are simple: anyone is welcome to put their name in the Jambalaya Crockpot of Destiny to be chosen, at random, to get up and play throughout the night.

Act I: Hot Computer, established circa summer 2023, is an independent team of Coalition improvisers. You might recognize them from your favorite house teams or sketch teams. Their fast-paced improv is sure to delight all five of your senses!

The Coalition Theater’s Stand-up Open Mic!

CHAMPIONS open mic is the 4th Thursday of every month, hosted by Sarah Ahmed and Jordan Boyd. And oh, this night is full of surprises.

CHAMPIONS will be crowned at the end of every night. What for? You may ask. YOU WILL SEE.

For those just wanting to watch, this is a free show!
