2nd Best Fest: Kornfeld and Andrews & Still Life

A standout Friday night showcase featuring NYC duo Kornfeld & Andrews and Richmond’s improvised play, Still Life.

​​The Coalition Theater proudly presents the 8th Annual 2ND BEST FEST—a three-day comedy extravaganza showcasing the best in improv, sketch, and stand-up. Running June 5–7, this year’s festival brings high-caliber acts from LA, Chicago, NYC, Baltimore, Raleigh, DC, and RVA to four incredible venues in Richmond’s Downtown Arts District.

This early Friday set brings serious talent to the stage. The show opens with Still Life, the Coalition’s signature improvised two-act play, weaving emotion, drama, and the unexpected into one-night-only stories. Then Kornfeld & Andrews, the razor-sharp duo from New York, take over with their finely tuned, unpredictable chemistry and whip-smart scenes.

Still Life

A whirlwind of relationships and emotions with possible whispers of betrayal, happily ever afters, and sometimes the supernatural, Still Life is an improvised play. Completely made up on the spot, they will weave a tale that will only be told once–a play’s opening and closing, all in one night!
