Event Details

In this 4 week series, Ginnie Fae will teach her fluid movements, cultural dance sources and how to use them in story telling.
By the end of this series you will be a practiced, story-telling dancer in a variety of movements that can work collectively and solo.
Full series is $40
Drop ins are $15
payments can be made in person or via paypal
After the 4 Week session, we will have a voluntary installation performance that is open to the public at a site where water meets the land.
*All levels of dancer are welcome, moves can be modified to suit the needs of the dancer. Where what makes you feel comfortable and fantastic. I will wear a crown of course. Unless you need shoes for stability, I recommend you dance in socks or bare feet.
Who is Ginnie Fae?
Ginnie Fae is a local to RVA Faerie Dancer. Sometimes, calling her style “Narrative Fusion”, Ginnie Fae seeks to tell stories of magic ,fantasy and connectedness in all of her performances.
Ginnie Fae’s movement vocabulary comes from years of study in Persian Classical Dance, Bellydance Fusion, Raqs Sharqi, folk dance and images from what must be hundreds of Art and Fantasy books. She sees herself as a guest in all cultures and uses her movement vocabulary to respectfully tell stories that are authentic to her.
