Hardywood's ALES FOR ALS RELEASE

Our co-founders Eric McKay and Patrick Murtaugh have deep personal ties to the ALS community. McKay’s Davidson College classmate and friend Andrea Lytle Peet recently became the first person with ALS to complete a marathon in all 50 states. Murtaugh’s uncle Bob Murtaugh, a gentle but spirited soul, unfortunately lost his battle with ALS.
This year’s Ales for ALS beer is a hoppy lager rooted in the classic German Pilsner style, with a twist. The Ales for ALS hop blend brings out citrus, berry, and stone fruit notes. Supplied by Yakima Chief, this year’s blend is comprised of seven different hop varietals including Simcoe, Loral, and Ekuanot.
$1 from every can sold will go to the ALS Therapy Development Institute and their ongoing goal to find a cure for ALS.
