Join us for a fun evening of indie vibes with Mamalarky! Their new album, Hex Key (released 4/11/25) is a document of perseverance, of going for the gold while somehow remaining totally aware of one’s own vulnerabilities. These effervescent, swirling songs chronicle vivid desires crashing against real-life limitations but finding a way to keep burning anyway. That tension between anguish and resilience, between performed aloofness and brutal honesty, drives the music, imbues it with a compelling intensity. Over the last 8 years, the quartet’s members have lived in Austin, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

Joining them on stage is Kennedy Mann, based out of Brooklyn, NY. Combining the analog sounds of dream pop, indie folk, and slowcore, Kennedy Mann’s compositions strike you in the heart and linger like a bittersweet memory. She launched her solo project in 2023 as a way to bring some of her most personal musical ideas to life!

Also joining them on stage is local favorite: Alfred. They aspire to thrive and provide community in sharing words, to breathe vivid life into their place in the world. Their 2020 EP “One Trick Pony” is a testament to the powerful clarity of self-expression amidst chaos. This will be their first show in Richmond this year, so don’t miss it!
