RIFF returns for its 13th annual Festival in 2024. As one of RVA’s A-list film events as featured in Richmond Magazine, Richmond Times Dispatch, Style Weekly, on CBS 6, FOX 5, NBC 12, VPM/PBS and more, RIFF is one of the largest international competitive festivals in the mid Atlantic and honors some of the most singularly entertaining projects on the local and international scene. Each year RIFF brings an array of cutting edge films, live music performances, community wide events, industry panels, Q&As, and mixers that usher the spirit of Hollywood into multiple venues across the city of Richmond including Bow Tie Cinemas and the historic Byrd Theatre, a venue touted by USA Today as “one of the top 10 places to still see a movie in splendor in the United States.”

Six years ago the festival also expanded into a full-scale music festival to include local, national, and international showcases. In addition to providing great entertainment for the community, RIFF utilizes this area as a platform for filmmakers and musicians to forge new working relationships.
