Richmond Tattoo Convention Teams Up with LXGRP to Host First-Ever Official Pop-Up

Two Nights of Exclusive Events Featuring DJ Sliink, Lighting, and Immersive Visuals
Richmond, VA – September 2024 – The Richmond Tattoo Convention, a celebrated event
running strong for 36 years, is elevating the experience for attendees by introducing its first
official Pop-Up Afterparty, curated by Richmond-based event company LXGRP. The afterparty
will be hosted over two nights—Friday, October 18th, and Saturday, October 19th—at the
DoubleTree Hotel in Midlothian, VA, transforming the atrium into an immersive lighting, visual,
and audio experience for convention-goers.
Nationally recognized DJ Sliink, based out of North Carolina, will headline both nights,
bringing his energetic mixes and electrifying stage presence to keep the crowd moving. This
exclusive pop-up will provide attendees with a fun, safe night out without ever having to leave
the convention site. Local opening DJs will also be selected to set the tone for the evening.
With only 200 tickets available per night, space is limited, and demand is expected to be high.

In addition to the afterparty, the Richmond Tattoo Convention itself continues its tradition of
bringing together the world’s top tattoo artists, industry pioneers, collectors, and fans. This
year’s convention will feature Ryan Ashley, winner of Ink Master, as the main co-host, along
with world-renowned tattoo artist Jesse Smith, who will be hosting the event, promising an
unforgettable weekend for all.
Since its founding in 1988, the Richmond Tattoo Convention has become a cornerstone event
for tattoo enthusiasts, showcasing cutting-edge trends while honoring the legacy of the industry.
It is a true celebration of the art form, from its historical roots to its modern evolution.
