United Blood Festival 2015 is coming to The Canal Club at the end of March. Hardcore fan or not, you don’t want to miss this Richmond tradition. Though the bands haven’t sold out, the festival surely will. Here’s an 8 bands we’re looking forward to seeing when the show hits RVA on March 27-28.

8) Rotting Out – “Born” Official Music Video

I honestly just wanted to start this list with Rotting Out. This music video is from their upcoming album “Reckoning,” out next week. Pick it up on vinyl at United Blood.

7) Down to Nothing – “Life On The James”

Perennial Richmond institution Down to Nothing will play this year’s fest. This is the title track from their most recent disk, 2014’s “Life On The James”

6) Crown Of Thornz – “Juggernuat”

Crown of Thornz are just…something else.

5) Bracewar live at The Log Cabin

This video that amazingly was posted to YouTube in 2007- for context I was in 7th grade when this was posted- shows the raw energy of a Richmond hardcore experience.

4) Cold World @ This Is Hardcore 2014 – Electric Factory – Philadelphia

This video demonstrates two things: first of all, Cold World is a band worth paying almost any amount of money or body parts or fluids to see. Secondly, This is Hardcore is another popular festival in Philadelphia. Witness last year’s premier pitting and get yourself ready for UB.

3) Terror – Live By The Code (live)

Terror are legends and guess what, part of their members are from Richmond! Get it yet? Hardcore and punk are part of this city.

2) Code Orange – “I Am King”

Code Orange (formerly Kids, now distinctly Code Orange adults) are so good it’ll make you want to punch a wall. Why not go see ‘em live?

1) JUDGE – “Where It Went”

Look at this fucking MUSIC VIDEO from 1990, literal years before I was born. Honestly, buy a ticket to United Blood so that you can see Judge.

Honorable mention:

Cats mashing to Bracewar

This video is just funny as shit okay.

Pick up tickets through the Canal Club’s website here.
