Com Truise, aka Seth Haley, is a New York-based electronic artist who has been riding the rails behind bigger names, dropping remixes and the like, which are usually less dance floor-friendly, but more inline with early vapourwave or any music that’s really good to pop some edibles and listen to.
His trademark sound is synth-y retro beats that can vibrate your bones, taking other people’s indie and electro tracks and making them his own in a very unique way. He’s worked with the likes of Charli XCX, Foster the People, Twin Shadow, Neon Indian, and Daft Punk.
Check out “Encom Part 2” (remix) from Daft Punk’s Tron Legacy OST below:
Com Truise is currently touring off the release of his most recent EP, Silicon Tare, which dropped just last month. Tracks include “Forgive” heard below:
Com Truise may fall more in line with what some might call “Soundcloud artists,” in that he’s found most of his success in that medium, but that shouldn’t lead to you questioning his power or authority as an artist – his production value and ability to weave a beat are unmatched.
He’s also been doing this since 2010; the man has a vast catalog that deserves some perusing if you are not familiar –
Also on the bill is the Portland-based indie-electro outfit Starfucker. They’re touring on the back of their latest release, “Never Ever,” a single off of a yet-to-be announced upcoming album. Check it out below:
The elctro-dance band made waves on a number of earlier releases, with 2013’s Miracle Mile being their last full album:
