OG !lla will be dropping a new mixtape next month, and we’re pleased to bring you the world premiere of a brand new song from #ForTheFuckOfIt: Elite Edition. “IMA HLGN” features a verse from Rich P, an up-and-coming MC from OG !lla’s Broad Street Elite crew, who dropped his own excellent mixtape, The Fast Life: Enterstate, earlier this summer. OG !lla’s new mixtape is a re-imagining of his late 2012 release, #ForTheFuckOfIt. The Elite Edition retains the best tracks from the original, while adding over half a dozen new songs and taking the revamped version to an entirely new level. It drops a year and a day after the release of the original version, but OG !lla has been working on it since January, so high quality is guaranteed.

“IMA HLGN” is one of the exclusive new tracks that will be featured on #ForTheFuckOfIt: Elite Edition, and it comes creeping in on a dark, ominous intro that soon leads into a spooky beat from producer Ivy Club. OG !lla grabs the mic and demonstrates his bona fides with a harsh verse that proves he’s not playing around. Rich P takes over to lay down a tough verse of his own before the track ends, and Ivy Club’s beat hits hard enough throughout to make car stereos rattle all around RVA. Hear it for yourself, and cop a free download while supplies last:

Look for #ForTheFuckOfIt: Elite Edition to drop via Datpiff on November 13–keep an eye on OG !lla’s twitter @HLGNLIFE for details. Also, this Sunday at 1 PM, OG !lla, Broad Street Elite, and Soul Live Media will be shooting the video for “IMA HLGN”–anyone interested in being in the video should hit up BSENetwork@gmail.com. And of course, make sure you come out to the Broad Street Elite Launch Party on Friday, November 15 at Addis Ethiopian Restaurant (9 N. 17th St), featuring performances from OG !lla, HLGNLIFE, and special guests.
