DAILY FIX: Charles Diamond, “Check The Resume”

Can you believe it? It’s another new video from the NoNameNoBrain/Mix Breed crew. Based on their recent output rate, I’m wondering if any of them have slept anytime since April or so.

Can you believe it? It’s another new video from the NoNameNoBrain/Mix Breed crew. Based on their recent output rate, I’m wondering if any of them have slept anytime since April or so. Charles Diamond, who you’ll remember if you checked out the Seven Hills Mixtape NoNameNoBrain dropped last month (and if you didn’t, quit reading this and go download it RIGHT NOW. I’ll wait… OK, anyway), here brings us a short but sweet solo joint in which he demonstrates a clear flow and above-average lyrics. Jimbo Slice is the producer here, rather than Mix Breed’s in-house producer Cons, but the babyfaced Mix Breed mastermind is still involved in this video, acting as Diamond’s hype man as the two jump around on a rooftop somewhere in Shockoe Bottom before heading over to 18th and Main to grab a slice at The Pizza Place (a post-show favorite if you’re coming from Kingdom or the Canal Club, as I’m sure all of you know). This video just screams “summer fun,” but don’t get it twisted, because Charles Diamond isn’t a rapper to be taken lightly.
