DAILY FIX: Darkest Hour, “Your Every Day Disaster”

by | Oct 26, 2011 | MUSIC

Here it is, folks, the latest video from DC/RVA’s long-running metal/hardcore quintet, Darkest Hour. “Your Every Day Disaster” is the third single from their ninth (!) record, The Human Romance, and it proves that if anything, these guys are better than ever. The video is an onrushing sensory overload of quick cuts and blurry black and white images; it can be hard to tell what’s going on, but the chaotic visual impact of the video is well-suited to the song’s breakneck pace, wailing solos, and harsh vocals. Plus, what images are visible for long enough to be understood make clear that these guys are having a lot of fun playing their awesome music. If you play this song loud, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a good time as well. So hey, crank it up!
