The true master of RVA R&B, D’Angelo, hasn’t released an album since the incredible Voodoo came out 12 years ago (yes, it really has been that long), but it looks like our long wait might be over soon

The true master of RVA R&B, D’Angelo, hasn’t released an album since the incredible Voodoo came out 12 years ago (yes, it really has been that long), but it looks like our long wait might be over soonaccording to ?uestlove of the Roots, he’s putting the finishing touches on his follow-up, James River, which we can expect sometime in 2012. He’s doing some dates in Europe this month, including a show last night in Stockholm, Sweden, at which he premiered two new songs. And we’ve got video footage of those songs for you right here:

“The Charade”

“Sugar Daddy”

Hopefully these tunes help you to start your weekend off right; I can tell you right now that I feel better than I have in days. Enjoy!
