FRIDAY: RVA Hot Sauce!

by | Oct 18, 2011 | MUSIC

Started earlier this year by Marc Cheatham, The Cheats Movement has become a reliable outlet for photo and video coverage of Richmond’s youth culture, mixing underground hip-hop and street art with profiles of community leaders and high-profile local residents like VCU basketball coach Shaka Smart. Now The Cheats Movement has gotten together with Just Plain Sounds and The Shop At Artspace to present a free multimedia event featuring some of the most talented people in RVA today. There’ll be live musical performances by The Honorable Sleaze, Black Liquid and the New Juice Crew, Ankh Trinity, and many more. But that’s not all–the event will also feature appearances by The Richmond Comedy Coalition, Brian McDaniel of Dirty Richmond, Iain Duffus of Grape Cloth, and plenty of others. The entire evening will be filmed for a new web series to be run on the Cheats Movement Blog. Doors open at 7:30 PM and interesting things will be happening all evening long, so plan to come early and stay late. This is one event you don’t want to miss!
