Indie darling and rock goddess of the new age St. Vincent will be wailing her heart out in our beloved city in just a few months, but a link on her website can help you get tickets before they go on sale Friday.

Indie darling and rock goddess of the new age St. Vincent will be wailing her heart out in our beloved city in just a few months, but a link on her website can help you get tickets before they go on sale Friday.

For the uninitiated, St. Vincent is the musical alias of the uber-talented Annie Clark, who has put out four solo albums since her debut back in 2007.

Her most recent album, the self-titled St. Vincent, cracked just about every top ten list for 2014 and secured the top slot on more than a few sites (including this one). Well known music review site Pitchfork even called the album “bold and almost jarringly confident.”

The video for the lead single, “Digital Witness,” can be seen below.

For those of you who may think she seems familiar, chances are you saw her when she opened for The Black Keys at the Richmond Coliseum back in early December.

However, this time around she’ll be the headliner, performing at The National on June 3rd. Tickets go on sale this Friday via Ticketmaster on The National’s site.

But if you’re like me and you don’t want to risk them selling out, then you can pick up your ticket through St. Vincent’s site NOW for just a few bucks more.

Better yet, this way you get to avoid Ticketmaster, the bane of all concert attendees’ existence. But shhhhh, don’t tell anyone. It’s a secret.

The show may be months off, but don’t let that fool you; these tickets will sell out, and quickly. So stop dicking around a get your ticket now so you won’t be the only one of your friends left out.
