GHOST OF POP: Goldrush

by | Dec 8, 2011 | MUSIC

It wouldn’t be a Ghost of Pop if Prabir Mehta didn’t showcase one of his many outfits. For the second time, he’ll be challenging the audience with a fusion of classical and rock music in The Goldrush. The band shares members with the Richmond Symphony, Long Arms, and some band called The Druthers. When The Goldrush takes their sound to the masses, they deliver with clever arrangements and fantastic melodies. In Mehta’s heart beats the steady rhythm of the everyday pop gems of the world. This comes across in his music, just as it does in the showcase he has worked on for seven years now. The simplicity of Goldrush’s dynamic offers a phenomenal approach to pop music that will certainly set them apart from the other wonderful groups playing throughout the evening.
