The Ghost of Pop has been known for supporting inventive musical groups as part of their annual festivities, but The Trillions take those expectations to a new level. This will only be their second year playing, but they are no strangers to the event, as members have previously performed as part of Prabir and the Substitutes and The Awesome Few. Now, in their latest project, they throw some wrenches into a progressive rock sound, turning heads and getting any complacent audience to take notice. With the unveiling of a long anticipated full-length, The Trillions are easily one of the most promising bands in the local scene. If their recent performance opening for Asobi Seksu is any indication, an abbreviated twenty-minute set won’t restrain these gents from fitting in as many pop gems as possible.
