One of the several reasons I made my way to Harrisonburg this past Easter weekend was to participate in this panel. I was asked to join three other music writers to discuss the many facets of independent media. In our conversations, we discussed the state of music in our respective scenes, how most blogs function, how to make any sort of media outlet profitable and why we write about music at all. It was a fun, entertaining time that led to a growing audience joining us as we spoke at length about all of these topics and more.

Despite the late night prior, I had the foresight to record our conversation, and what follows is a recording of the panel that we were all a part of. Sam Richardson of Feel It Records and Got Myself Zine, Megan Petty of Fuzzy Logic blog, and Sean Rhorer of GlueHC.com joined me.
