The classic longtime hip hop duo Mobb Deep recently announced a 38-date U.S.

The classic longtime hip hop duo Mobb Deep recently announced a 38-date U.S. tour to celebrate third third album Hell on Earth, which dropped in 1996. And they’re coming to grace us with their presence in the spring!

Prodigy and Havoc changed the hip hop game and through their dark lyrics were able to paint a gritty, raw, but too real picture of New York City street life during the 90s.

With albums like Infamous album and Hell On Earth, combined with their unwavering aggression and unapologetic harsh rhymes, the hardcore hip hop duo that brought us “Shook Ones Pt. II” can easily be credited for helping to put East Coast rap on the map.

They continued to make music throughout the 2000s and continued to prove, unlike many other rappers, that thye could stand the test of time. Their last release was The Infamous Mobb Deep in 2014, which consisted of two albums, one with new music and the other with unreleased tracks during their recording of their second studio album, The Infamous.

Anyway, Mobb Deep kick off their national tour this Saturday in Los Angeles and will make stops in New York, Chicago, Miami and most importantly, two Virginia Dates! The hip hop duo will hit Norfolk Wed. April 20, and Richmond at the National Fri. Apr. 22. Both VA dates include Brooklyn hip hop duo Smif N Wesuun. Tickets for The National show are $27, get yours here.

And according to Billboard.com, Mobb Deep plans to drop an album of previously-unreleased tracks from the recording sessions for Hell On Earth.

Check out the rest of the group’s tour dates here.
