Well this is just terrible news. Adam Yauch, aka MCA, of the Beastie Boys, passed away today at the age of 47.

Well this is just terrible news. Adam Yauch, aka MCA, of the Beastie Boys, passed away today at the age of 47. He has been fighting cancer in a salivary gland and lymph node for the past several years, and was unable to attend the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony in April, at which time the Beastie Boys were inducted into the Hall. It’s not clear at this time whether the cancer is what ultimately caused his death. Regardless of how it happened, though, this is a tragedy for the world of music.
