DIIV delivered an electrifying performance at The National in Richmond. If you missed it, check out these photos by Bert Shepherd @birdbartbert.

For those unfamiliar, DIIV, a Brooklyn-based rock band, was formed in 2011 by Zachary Cole Smith. Initially called Dive, they released their debut album “Oshin” in 2012.

After the success of “Oshin,” DIIV released “Is the Is Are” in 2016, despite production challenges. Their third album, “Deceiver,” debuted in 2019 with a darker sound. In May 2024, they released their critically acclaimed fourth album, “Frog in Boiling Water.”

The band members are Smith, Andrew Bailey, Colin Caulfield, and Ben Newman.
