Goodie Gang – Say It To My Face
I recently ran into the cutest up and coming group of women, who call themselves Goodie Gang. Goodie Gang consists of local femcees Annie Cole, Destiny Da Chef, Monie Love, and Lorna Marie. When I saw this video, I was like, “These women are deadly! But still cute.” “Say It To My Face”, which was directed by Rob Robby of Soul Live Media, has the gritty street edge that the song’s lyrics and visuals portray. It seems like it would be in your best interest to not cross these females. I hope to see more of these dangerous ladies around the RVA with a future project.
E.K.G. – Bad Jank
Local emcee EKG shows us how he gets what he calls a “Bad Jank” (a voluptuous female, to the ones that don’t know the slang), off of his upcoming album, Heart Of The Game. In this video, which was shot by Aura HD and Imagery, EKG schools us on his everyday life with these types of females. The visuals are flashy and vibrant as he showcases a few cute females throughout the video. I especially admire Aura HD for the car scene when he’s driving in circles. I honestly would be too worried about my camera flying off the car to even attempt this shot. The song is simple, with a catchy hook that refers to Jahnke Road, where he gets the female he’s describing. I might have to start referring to a few friends that live on Jahnke Road as “Bad Janks.”
Rah Scrilla – Get Ya Money Right
Local emcee Rah Scrilla brings us some fire, and some words about the way he makes his everyday living, with this video entitled “Get Ya Money Right.” This video, which was shot by BC Music 1st, takes us on his many hustles–working on cars, betting on basketball, and even a little illegal hustling. “Get Ya Money Right” is the definition of anyone’s everyday struggle, and what it takes to “get it how you live it.” This song is also to be featured on his upcoming project, Still Smokin, coming soon.
