Here are some brand new videos from the local RVA hip-hop scene, with commentary from Roger Tyler, aka RT of The New Juice Crew. You can check out his work HERE, or catch him on WDCE 90.1 FM, Mondays At 11pm-1am, or WRIR 97.3 FM, 1am to 3 am on Saturday, along with Black Liquid and plenty of other local MCs. ChiChi the Kid feat. Reazy and Jay Dash – I Want Her Back
Young Richmond Outkasts’ own ChiChi the Kid shows us the love lost in his newest video, “I Want Her Back.” With help from team members Reazy F and J-Dash, the video displays the emotional connection between their everyday struggles and the music they love. With direction by up and coming videographer Jay Aura, they complete this video with special effects (which I must say weren’t bad) and a catchy chorus that leaves you understanding why they want “Her” (hip-hop) back.

SO !LLA – Run RVA
Gritty guitars and hard kicks mixed with a little of Broad Street Elite’s own So !lla equals this recent banger, “Run RVA,” off of an upcoming mixtape entitled For The F*ck Of It. The very dark and concrete-driven video was well put together by videographer Jay Aura. One thing that I would have liked to have see is the actual artist, So !lla, show himself in the video more. The song describes how he plants himself as one of the best in RVA. Can he follow up on his word? We will see when the mixtape drops.

Artik Phreeze feat. Octavion Xcellence – Back On My B.S
Mr. Money Train does it again, with help from Suburban District’s own Octavion Xcellence, on his newest single, “Back On My B.S.” This video features a great display of visual effects. The face morph technique was really creative, and the use of sharp objects and weapons make the song definitely a visual catch. Hardcore lyrics and a banging chorus make this song one you should definitely play while working out or riding downtown.
