Here are some visual aids to give you a hint of the craziness you’ll find on display tonight and every Tuesday night at the Hat Factory, courtesy of staff photographer Todd Raviotta:

About the performers:

BOBBY LaBEAT has been rocking parties on the East Coast for as long as there’s been a scene to rock. A member of Richmond’s infamous AUDIO AMMO crew, Bobby has been spearheading RVA monthlies like BRAIN DRAIN and RVAlution since either party began. Along with fellow Audio Ammo member LONG JAWNS, Bobby has been putting out some of Moombahton’s most memorable productions, including the remix to KREAYSHAWN’S “GUCCI GUCCI.”

VULPES, aka Erik Fox, has spent countless hours behind the scenes with some of the industry’s greatest innovators, from 12th Planet and Skrillex to Nadastrom and Shiftee via his widely-followed curated music blog, Dope On Plastic—and the variety of influence shows. Having come from a background of improvised jazz and dirty south hip hop, his performances are an eclectic, unexpected mix of soulful rhythms and heavy trap basslines with anthemic vocals. While still being relatively fresh to DJing, Fox has played numerous parties in Richmond, as well as the DC club scene and big stages such as Pacha NYC and Webster Hall.

GOD MADE DIRT is a RVA based cross-genre group fostering progressive club sounds on the East Coast. Comprised of a trio of DJ/Producers (TRNR, Combine, & Proteen), GMD has been moving people through low frequencies rather than hype for over three years and have gained local notoriety for their parties in houses and basements with maxed-out capacity. God Made Dirt climbs a rising obelisk of sound spanning from the deep chambers of the UK underground to the sounds of classic Southern hip hop. Don’t believe the hype, come see for yourself.
