SUNDAY: Title Fight In Norfolk!

by | Nov 18, 2011 | MUSIC

Back in the spring, I saw Title Fight at the now-sadly-defunct hardcore warehouse, and the show was completely off the hook! Their mixture of melodic hardcore and the more melancholy emotional tone of bands like Hot Water Music was a huge hit with the hundreds of energetic kids crammed into that sweaty cinderblock-walled room, and as soon as they hit the stage, the place exploded. Unfortunately, their current tour won’t be bringing them to Richmond, but they are hitting The Norva in Norfolk this weekend, so a short drive will give you the opportunity to see them tear it up on a much bigger stage! Title Fight are supporting their excellent debut album, Shed, released earlier this year by Side One Dummy, and are currently on tour as part of the Alternative Press Fall Tour for 2011, which puts them in some pretty stellar company. Four Year Strong are a similarly melodic hardcore band who replace Title Fight’s emo tinges with metal guitar licks, while Gallows are a bunch of angry young men from Britain who play ferociously catchy midtempo hardcore. But if you ask us, Title Fight are the real reason to skip football this Sunday and head to Norfolk for this show. Make it happen, people!

WHAT: AP Fall Tour In Norfolk!
WHO: Title Fight, Four Year Strong, Gallows, The Swellers, Sharks
WHERE: The NorVa, 317 Monticello Ave, Norfolk
WHEN: Sunday, November 20, 6:30 PM
ADMISSION: $17.50 in advance–tickets available HERE

After the jump, check out an awesome live performance by Title Fight from earlier this year, playing the title track of their new album (with a special guest appearance by Touche Amore vocalist Jeremy Bolm) at Chain Reaction in Anaheim CA. That video should be evidence enough that you don’t want to miss this show.
