This August 17, the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q will take place at Hadad’s Lake, and it’s looking to be the best GWAR-B-Q yet! In fact, this year’s festivities are apparently too big to be contained in one event, as the Slave Pit has just announced that along with the GWAR-B-Q, a B4-B-Q will take place then night before at the Canal Club. There will also be a GWA-fter Party once the GWAR-B-Q has ended.

The GWAR-B-Q itself is still the main event. Tickets are on sale now, so be sure to buy yours before they sell out. Premium VIP tickets are already sold out, but you proles who couldn’t afford the $100 VIP price still have options. For $30, you get the basic admission to Hadad’s Lake for a full day of great music, food, and drinks, while the deluxe $40 ticket also comes with an official GWAR-B-Q T-shirt. To purchase tickets, go here: http://gwarbq.com/buy-tickets.

The line up for the GWAR-B-Q features a long list of truly insane bands: GWAR, Municipal Waste, Corrosion of Conformity, Cannabis Corpse, Pig Destroyer, a reunion of famed GWAR side project X-Cops, and many more. For the full list, go here http://gwarbq.com/bands. This is the most highly sought-after ticket of the summer, so don’t sleep! Let GWAR’s Grill Ghoul explain further:

In addition to all the great music, this year’s GWAR-B-Q will continue the tradition of presenting the Spew-O-Lympics, a pseudo-athletic competition featuring ridiculous feats performed by drunken maniacs and judged by Slave Pit degenerates. Sounds like a great time, right? Well, if you want to participate, this year there are some extra hoops you must jump through in advance. So be sure to read all of the detailed instructions listed here, and get ready for some proper lunacy!

The auxiliary events promise to be a great time in their own right, so if eight hours of lakeside GWAR-B-Q debauchery just isn’t enough for you, fear not–there’s plenty of GWAR-related activities going on throughout the weekend. The B4-B-Q at The Canal Club starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 16, the night before the GWAR-B-Q. Admission is free to all GWAR-B-Q ticket holders, so bring your ticket or receipt as proof of purchase. The show will feature Apocalypse Dudes, U.S. Bastards, Savage Attack, Bloody Crackdown, Red Box Money Cult, Rong, and Stuck Backwards.

Then after the GWAR-B-Q has ended, come on down to Balliceaux in the heart of the fan for the GWA-After-Party, and sweat away all that barbeque and blood by dancing it up to the sweet sounds of Soulpower’s DJ Pari, who will be spinning R&B, soul, and funk records all night! This event is free to GWAR-B-Q attendees (and everybody else), so you’ve got no excuse.

The GWAR-B-Q will be filled with music, booze, BBQ, free stuff, water parks rides, raffles, guest celebrities, and awesomeness. For more information, visit the official GWAR-B-Q web page here http://gwarbq.com
