THIS WEEKEND: Tom Tom Founders Festival In Charlottesville!

by | May 9, 2012 | MUSIC

It’s been an exciting month for the city of Charlottesville. In celebrating this year’s Tom Tom Founders Festival, several artists have taken to the streets to show off their love and support of the creative community. Between workshops, initiating dialogues with many local artists and developing conversations regarding how social media has changed the way we approach art, the month has been successful, to say the least. The coolest part has yet to arrive, and will offer a two-day showcase of live music this coming weekend.

With big name acts like The Walkmen, Those Darlins, Josh Ritter and many more, it should prove to be the perfect send-off for the remarkable month that Charlottesville has experienced. Familiar Richmond faces like No BS! Brass Band, Nelly Kate, and Dead Fame will be making appearances along with other great VA-based indie bands like Eternal Summers, Spirit Family Reunion, Invisible Hand, Left & Right, Paleface, and so many more. This doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of how awesome the line-up is for this weekend’s festivities. If you were looking for the perfect excuse to get out of town, look no further than this year’s Tom Tom Founders Festival.
