by | Feb 17, 2025 | COMMUNITY, CULTURE, MUSIC, OUTDOORS

Tiny Porch Neighborhood Concert Series, a grassroots music showcase in Richmond’s Woodland Heights, is looking for musicians to fill its 2025 season. Organizers recently reached out to us after seeing the range of artists featured in our Richmond Music of Right Now poll, using it as a guide to find emerging talent in the city. Their hope is to expand their lineup and encourage more musicians to get involved.

About Tiny Porch Concerts

The Woodland Heights Tiny Porch Concert Series represents a grassroots community effort initiated by a dedicated group of neighbors in spring 2023. Held on Sunday evenings, the event revolves around three “host porches,” each featuring two sets of musical performances throughout the evening. This setup gives Woodland Heights residents—both long-time locals and recent newcomers—a regular, laid-back opportunity to explore their neighborhood while enjoying live music.

Beyond the music, these porch concerts are about fostering community. The series creates a space where neighbors and visitors from nearby areas can come together, share conversations, and enjoy a lineup of diverse Richmond artists in a unique and intimate setting. As it continues to grow, the Woodland Heights Tiny Porch Concerts will keep strengthening the bonds between new and established community members.
