Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready to dance? Australian combo Cut Copy are bringing the party to the Jefferson Theater next week, and you are all invited! This quartet’s incredible mixture of synth waves, banging beats, and catchy choruses combines everything you love about 80s Anglophile pop and modern EDM into an unstoppable wave of dance power. The group has not released any new material since sensational third album Zonoscope back in 2011, but they dropped a vinyl version of their 2004 debut, Bright Like Neon Love, on Record Store Day last month, and word is that they’re hard at work on their fourth album. Fortunately, though, they’ve decided to squeeze in a visit to the States for some live performances, and we are all the beneficiaries. So put on your dancing shoes and get ready to head up to Charlottesville next Thursday, because this will be one party you do not want to miss!

WHAT: Cut Copy Brings Dance Fever To Central VA!
WHO: Cut Copy, World’s End Press
WHERE: The Jefferson Theater, 110 E. Main St, Charlottesville VA
WHEN: Thursday, June 6, Doors open at 7 PM
ADMISSION: $25 in advance–tickets available HERE/$28 at the door

And if you’re really lucky, you can go see this show for free! One lucky winner will receive two complimentary tickets to Cut Copy at the Jefferson Theater from your pals at RVA Mag. Just enter your info into the punchtab widget below, and keep an eye out for extra chances to win! Do it now–contest ends Friday May 31 at 5 PM.

And just to give you an idea of exactly what’s in store for you at this show, here’s an incredible live performance clip from Cut Copy’s set at the 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival, doing a stunning version of their 2007 single “Hearts On Fire.” As you can see, they really get the crowd moving, and now you can be part of that crowd next Thursday at the Jefferson Theater. Who’d turn that down? Not us! We’ll see you there!
