I shouldn’t even have to say anything. You already know you want to go to this show, which is taking place on Monday, January 21 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax–so feel free to skip the rest of my babbling and scroll down to the giveaway. But for those of you who’ve been backpacking on the Appalachian Trail for the past year or whatever, here’s what’s up: Green Day are releasing three new albums in the next six months, all of which were recorded earlier this year. Uno!, the first of the three, will hit stores in about ten days, with the other two albums, Dos! and Tre!, dropping in mid-November and mid-January, respectively.

And of course, Green Day will be criss-crossing America on tour over the first couple of months in 2013 to promote this onslaught of new material. Right now, we’ve only heard a few songs from the first of these three albums, but by the time of the Patriot Center show, you’ll have all three albums at your disposal, and plenty of time to get familiar with all of them so you can sing along with all your might when Green Day hits the stage. This melodic punk trio has been playing the soundtrack to all of our lives since the late 80s, and their new singles prove that they’ve still got just as much talent as ever, so don’t miss this opportunity to see them live and in person at The Patriot Center!

WHAT: Green Day Hits The Patriot Center!
WHERE: The Patriot Center, 4500 Patriot Circle, Fairfax VA 22030
WHEN: Monday January 21, 7:30 PM
ADMISSION: $65 plus fees–advance tickets available HERE (once they go on sale)

Tickets for this show don’t go on sale until Saturday the 15th at 10 AM, but you could get them now, for free and before they even go on sale, if you win our exclusive giveaway! That’s right, two tickets to see Green Day at the Patriot Center on Monday, January 21 could be yours if you win this drawing. You don’t have too much time–just about 30 hours from now, at midnight on Friday the 14th, we’ll be selecting a winner. So get yourself entered into the drawing immediately! Here’s how to do it:

Just in case you’re still on the fence for some reason, here are a few advance tracks that Green Day has released from Uno! “Oh Love” is that sort of epic melodic rock thing they’ve gotten really good at on their recent rock opera albums, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. “Kill The DJ” is sort of a disco song, but infused with so much punk attitude (and so many f-bombs) that you’ll never hear it on the dancefloor. “Let Yourself Go” is just straight up old fashioned punk rock, Green Day style. All of this and more awaits you at the Patriot Center in January. It’s gonna rule!
